I built Bleepy for the people who run medical education.

I’m a doctor. I’ve seen good teaching held together with rota spreadsheets, paper registers and long email chains. Bleepy puts sessions, bookings, attendance, feedback and certificates in one place, on your organisation’s own site.

Before Bleepy, teaching is run from three places at once. With Bleepy, each session has one page on the organisation’s own site.

Why I built Bleepy

A note from me, Varun.

I’m a doctor with a postgraduate certificate in healthcare and medical education. Teaching has always been part of the job, for me and for everyone around me.

I’ve seen first-hand how education teams hold that teaching together. Calendars that don’t talk to each other, spreadsheets, forms, emails and a lot of manual work. A session changes room and three versions of the rota disagree. The register is on paper. Certificates turn up weeks later, if someone remembers to send them.

None of that is the teams’ fault. Their tools were never built for medical education. So in 2025 I started building a tool that is. Bleepy brings the whole journey into one place, from finding a session to downloading the certificate, and it’s built around the organisation that runs the teaching.

My promise to the teams who use it is simple. Your organisation gets its own site, with your name and your colours. Your records are kept separate from every other organisation’s. And if something in Bleepy gets in your way, I want to hear about it.

Why it’s called Bleepy

In UK hospitals, a bleep is the pager a doctor carries. When it goes off, someone needs you, and you answer.

The Bleepy logo is a bleep. The name is a reminder of who Bleepy is for: the people who teach alongside everything else they do.

The story so far

A year of building, from a pile of spreadsheets to a site for every organisation.

2025

I started building Bleepy

Teaching ran on spreadsheets, paper registers and email. In 2025 I started building one place for all of it.

2026Now

A site for every organisation

Each organisation now gets its own Bleepy site, with its own name, colours and records.

Next

Built with the teams who use it

What comes next is shaped by the people who run teaching. If something would help your team, tell me.

What you can count on

Seven things that are true in Bleepy today.

Your own site
Each organisation gets its own Bleepy address, with its own name, logo and colours.
Your records, kept apart
One organisation’s people, sessions and files are kept separate from every other organisation’s.
Nothing to install
Bleepy works in the browser on any phone or computer. There’s no app to download.
Proof of learning in one place
Attendance is taken by QR code, and feedback forms and certificates are linked to each session.
AI drafts, people decide
AI features only suggest drafts for a person to check. NHS numbers are blocked from every AI feature.
Built to be accessible
Pages are tested against WCAG 2.2 AA. Where Bleepy falls short, the accessibility statement says so.
Stored in London
Bleepy’s database and uploaded files are stored in the UK, in London.
